The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario has granted approval to WSOP, making it one of the 16 licensed operators featured on their official site. Other approved platforms include FanDuel Ontario, PointsBet Canada, and theScore.BetMGM Ontario As part of this new initiative, WSOP is expected to collaborate with GGPoker to create a WSOP-branded experience tailored for the Ontario gaming market, with GGPoker powering the games. Ontario-based players currently registered with GGPoker can transition their accounts to WSOP.CA when the new poker room opens, as per GGPoker's announcements.
One of the significant perks for players participating in online poker in Ontario is their automatic entry into the Caesars Rewards loyalty program, which is notable since WSOP is a division of Caesars Entertainment.
The partnership between WSOP and GGPoker in Canada will also allow players in Ontario to participate in WSOP tournaments and qualifying events.
